BUZZARDS BAY, Mass.-- Freshman Shannon Malone (North Quincy, Mass.) registered six kills as Salem State posted a 3-0 Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference volleyball victory over Massachusetts Maritime Monday evening at Alumni Gymnasium.
Sophomore Meghan Davey (Westwood, Mass.) added 11 set assists for the visiting Vikings (3-5, 1-1 MASCAC), who won by game scores of 25-4, 25-14 and 25-7.
Sophomore Victoria Presutti (Marshfield, Mass.) and freshman Samantha Foley (Forestdale, Mass.) each notched four kills in the setback for the host Buccaneers (0-6, 0-4 MASCAC), who also received three service aces from freshman Libby Buck (South Chatham, Mass.) to go with five set assists from sophomore Allison Condino (Fitchburg, Mass.).
Massachusetts Maritime heads to Leicester, Mass. on Tuesday evening to take on Becker in a non-league outing that begins at 6:00 p.m., while Salem State hosts Rhode Island College in a non-league match on Thursday evening in Salem, Mass. beginning at 7:00 p.m.
