NEW LONDON, Conn.-- The Massachusetts Maritime volleyball team dropped a pair of 3-0 non-league decisions to host Mitchell and the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts on Saturday afternoon at the Yarnall Athletic Center.
Sophomores Victoria Presutti (Marshfield, Mass.) and Liz Kenny (Quincy, Mass.) each notched two kills on the day for the visiting Buccaneers (0-14), who fell to the host Pequots (5-11) by a 25-4, 25-6 and 25-7 margin. Sophomore Allison Condino (Fitchburg, Mass.) added four set assists for Massachusetts Maritime, which dropped a 25-6, 25-3, 25-4 non-league decision to the Trailblazers (7-12) and also received two service aces from freshman Stephanie Roberts (Wakefield, R.I.).
Massachusetts Maritime will be idle until next Saturday afternoon when the Buccaneers resume their first varsity season in two years by heading to Waterville, Maine to take on host Thomas and Maine Maritime in a non-league tri-match that begins at 1:00 p.m.
