BRIDGEWATER, Mass.-- Sophomore Marissa Pita (Hyannis, Mass.) registered 10 service aces to lead Bridgewater State to a 3-0 Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference volleyball victory over Massachusetts Maritime Wednesday evening by game scores of 25-4, 25-5 and 25-8 in a league outing played at the Tinsley Center.

Sophomore Natalie Cohen (Marstons Mills, Mass.) added 10 assists and four aces in the triumph for the host Bears (3-7, 1-0 MASCAC), who also received six aces and three digs from freshman Kelsey Andrade (Seekonk, Mass.).

Sophomore Victoria Presutti (Marshfield, Mass.) recorded three kills in the setback for the visiting Buccaneers (0-3, 0-1 MASCAC), who also received a pair of aces from freshman Libby Buck (South Chatham, Mass.).

Massachusetts Maritime heads to Worcester, Mass. on Saturday afternoon for a MASCAC tri-match with Worcester State and MCLA that begins at Noon, while Bridgewater State ventures to Cambridge, Mass. on Friday evening for first day action in the MIT Invitational beginning at 6:00 p.m.
