FRANKLIN, Mass. - A pair of goals by Miranda Seacord (Cambridge, N.Y./Cambridge Central School) was enough for the Bulldogs of Dean College Thursday afternoon as they dealt the Buccaneers a 3-1 loss.

Madison Taylor (Longmeadow, Mass./Longmeadow) put Massachusetts Maritime on the scoreboard midway through the first half with a tally assisted by Colleen Sullivan (Braintree, Mass./Norfolk Aggie). Allison Buckley (Guilford, VT./Vermont Academy) landed the equalizer for the Bulldogs late in the first and with less than a minute remaining Seacord tallied the first of her two goals to give Dean a 2-1 advantage at the half.

Seacord added a third goal to the score for Dean 10 minutes into the second assisted by Mackenzie Parisee (East Freetown, Mass./Apponequet Regional).

Massachusetts Maritime held a 26-20 advantage in shots, with Buccaneer keeper Mikayla Houlihan (Middleboro, Mass./Middleboro) finishing the afternoon with 10 saves in goal. The Buccaneers also had a 5-3 advantage in corner kicks.

Massachusetts Maritime drops to 0-3 for the season and will head for Fitchburg State Saturday morning for a 10 AM match with the Falcons. Dean College improves to 1-3 and will host Elms College Saturday at noon.
