BUZZARDS BAY, Mass. --  Junior Madison Taylor (Longmeadow, Mass.) tied her own school record with four goals to lead Massachusetts Maritime to an 8-1 non-league college women’s soccer victory over Pine Manor Wednesday evening at Clean Harbors Stadium.

A pair of Taylor tallies in the opening half of action staked the host Buccaneers (4-7) to a 2-0 advantage at the break, and Massachusetts Maritime added six goals in the final 45 minutes of play to post the highest single-game scoring output in school history.  Taylor added two more markers in the 65th and 77th minutes of action to increase her school-record total to 18 on the season for the hosts, who also received a goal from sophomore Brantley Collins (Glen Allen, Va.) as well as the first collegiate tallies from freshmen Colleen Sullivan (Braintree, Mass.), Madison Manson (Sunapee, N.H.) and Mikayla Houlihan (Middleboro, Mass.).

Collins, Sullivan and Houlihan recorded assists to all finish with three points in the triumph for the Buccaneers, who received single helpers from junior Rachel Gardner (Bourne, Mass.) and sophomores Jessica Baldassini (Middleboro, Mass.) and Cammi Balentine (Haverhill, Mass.).  Sophomore Cassie Cavender (Clarksville, Tenn.) accounted for the lone goal of the evening in the setback for the visiting Gators (3-8) in the 76th minute of play, as she converted a feed from freshman Ivete Nava (Beaumont, Tex.) for her 12th marker of the season.

Sophomore Sara Coffey (Norton, Mass.) made a pair of saves to record her fourth win of the year in goal for Massachusetts Maritime, while freshman Feven Bedard-Khalid (Miami, Fla.) made 11 stops in net for Pine Manor.  The Buccaneers outshot the Gators by a 33-5 margin overall (19-3 on goal) and took eight of the nine corner kicks in the contest in claiming their eighth straight victory in the series between the two schools.

Massachusetts Maritime hosts Bridgewater State in a Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference outing on Friday evening at Clean Harbors Stadium beginning at 7:00 p.m., while Pine Manor heads to Gorham, Maine on Tuesday afternoon for a non-league match with Southern Maine that begins at 3:00 p.m.
