BUZZARDS BAY, Mass. --  Junior Lindsey Keith (Sutton, Mass.) netted all four goals to lead Becker to a 4-0 non-league college women’s soccer victory over Massachusetts Maritime in the season opener for both teams Saturday afternoon at Clean Harbors Stadium.

Keith converted a pass from fellow junior Ciara McKissick (Charlton, Mass.) just 3:36 into the contest to give the visiting Hawks (1-0) the only tally they would need, and she added unassisted markers in the 17th and 52nd minutes of action before closing out the scoring with a penalty kick conversion that came with just under 11 minutes remaining in the match.  Junior Jordyn Martel (Chicopee, Mass.) made four saves to record the shutout triumph in goal for Becker, which presented Head Coach Anthony Cosky with his first career victory.

Sophomore Sara Coffey (Norton, Mass.) made seven stops in net in the setback for the host Buccaneers (0-1), as the Hawks outshot Massachusetts Maritime by a 17-9 margin overall (11-4 on goal) while taking four of the five corner kicks on the afternoon.

Massachusetts Maritime heads to Quincy, Mass. on Wednesday evening to take on Eastern Nazarene in a non-league outing that begins at 7:00 p.m., while Becker travels to Fitchburg, Mass. on Tuesday evening to square off with Fitchburg State in a non-league clash beginning at 5:00 p.m.
