Press Era Begins For Women's Soccer With 15-Match Regular Season Schedule During 2017 Campaign
A new era begins for the Massachusetts Maritime women’s soccer team this fall, as Yvonna Press takes the reins as the third head coach in the program’s 10 year history after serving as a longtime Buccaneer assistant. Press’s squad is set to take on a 15-match regular season slate in 2017 that includes seven contests in the friendly confines of Clean Harbors Stadium.
Massachusetts Maritime begins its 10th varsity intercollegiate campaign on Saturday, September 2nd by hosting Becker in a non-league outing on Taylor’s Point that kicks off at 1:00 p.m. EDT. The Buccaneers will also entertain Dean, Wheelock and Pine Manor in non-conference competition and are set to welcome Fitchburg State, MCLA and Bridgewater State to the banks of the Cape Cod Canal for Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference clashes.
Press’s crew hits the road for non-league matches at Eastern Nazarene, Anna Maria, Bay Path and Suffolk, and Massachusetts Maritime will venture to Salem State, Westfield State, Framingham State and Worcester State in MASCAC action.
