Women's Soccer Looks To Continue Growth, Success With 16-Match Slate In Cabral's Fifth Campaign
The Massachusetts Maritime women’s soccer program has grown tremendously since its inception as a varsity sport in 2008, as the Buccaneers have attained success and recognition at both the regional and national levels. Another challenging schedule awaits for Head Coach Ray Cabral’s squad in 2015, as a 16-match slate beckons for the fifth-year mentor.
Massachusetts Maritime begins the new season on Wednesday, September 2nd by hosting Becker in a non-league clash at Clean Harbors Stadium beginning at 7:00 p.m. EDT. The Buccaneers will also welcome Pine Manor, SUNY-Maritime, Daniel Webster and Fisher to the banks of the Cape Cod Canal in non-conference play while heading to Anna Maria, Coast Guard, Wheelock and Bay Path for non-league match-ups.
Cabral’s crew kicks off its MASCAC season on Saturday, September 19th with a trip to Worcester State, and Massachusetts Maritime will welcome Bridgewater State, Fitchburg State and MCLA to Taylor’s Point for conference matches. The Buccaneers will also venture to Salem State, Framingham State and Westfield State in league play.
