FINAL:              BECKER 1, MASSACHUSETTS MARITIME 0 (OVERTIME)

LEICESTER, Mass. --  Senior Alycia Dery (Millville, Mass.) scored the game-winner 6:25 into overtime to lift Becker to a 1-0 non-league college women’s soccer victory over Massachusetts Maritime Wednesday afternoon at Alumni Field.

Dery converted a feed from sophomore Lauren Zaleski (Avon, Mass.) on the golden goal for the host Hawks (1-2), which was her second tally of the season.  Senior Kaitlyn Rose (North Attleboro, Mass.) picked up the win in net for Becker with a pair of saves over the final 51:25 of action, as both teams had chances in scoreless regulation play but were unable to convert.

Senior Katherine Cormier (San Diego, Calif.) made one first half stop on the day for the Hawks, while junior Katie Levesque (Wilmot, N.H.) picked up where she left off last fall in the season-opening setback for the visiting Buccaneers (0-1), as the all-region keeper made eight saves on the day, including four in the second half alone.  Becker outshot Massachusetts Maritime by a 16-4 margin while also holding a 7-2 edge in corners for the contest.

Massachusetts Maritime heads to Chestnut Hill, Mass. on Saturday afternoon to take on Pine Manor in a non-league outing that begins at 1:00 p.m., while Becker hosts Anna Maria in a non-league match on Saturday afternoon at Alumni Field beginning at Noon.
