O'Brien tallied twice and set up markers by Henderson and freshman Caitlyn Pinkham (Peabody, Mass.) in the first 12:17 of action to give the visiting Vikings (4-2, 1-0 MASCAC) a 4-0 advantage at the break, as Henderson and O'Brien combined on three goals in a 7:08 span midway through the second half to complete their hat tricks and extend Salem State's edge to 7-0 in the 60th minute.  Freshman Lauren Kilduff (Walpole, Mass.) scored in the 70th minute for the visitors' eighth tally of the day, and junior Taylor Orlando (Danvers, Mass.) closed out the Viking scoring with a pair of goals that came off assists from sophomore Alyssa Konsavtich (North Stonington, Conn.) in the 72nd and 76th minutes, respectively.

Kilduff and Pinkham each finished with a goal and an assist on the day for the winners, who also received a pair of helpers from junior KatyLyn Verrette (Saugus, Mass.).  Sophomore Lindsey Burke (Harvard, Mass.) picked up her third win of the season in goal for Salem State with a pair of saves, while freshmen Kim Courcy (Warwick, R.I.) and Rachel Johnson (South Chatham, Mass.) combined for 24 stops in net for the host Buccaneers (0-5, 0-1 MASCAC), with Courcy recording 14 first half saves and Johnson notching 10 stops in the final 45 minutes of action as the Vikings outshot Massachusetts Maritime by a 38-4 margin for the contest.
