BUZZARDS BAY, Mass. -- Senior Jodi Fralick (Woburn, Mass.) netted a hat trick and an assist for seven points to lead Lesley to an 8-0 non-league college women's soccer victory over Massachusetts Maritime Saturday afternoon at Clean Harbors Stadium.
Sophomore Jenna Fralick (Woburn, Mass.) added a pair of goals in the triumph for the visiting Lynx (3-0), who jumped out to a 3-0 advantage at the break and broke things open with three tallies that came in a 6:08 span midway through the second stanza. Sophomore Bridget Rundquist (Chicago, Ill.) added a marker and helper on the day for Lesley, which also received single goals from freshmen Sarah Levitt (Silver Spring, Md.) and Courtney Hopkins (Watertown, Mass.) as well as assists from juniors Alyson Durben (Stow, Mass.) and Emma Fogg (Wellesley, Mass.) as well as freshmen Kelsey Fitzgerald (Upton, Mass.) and Abigail Landmesser (Stockton Springs, Maine).
Sophomore Miranda Matson (Gig Harbor, Wash.) picked up her first victory of the season by making one save in goal for Lesley, while freshman Kim Courcy (Warwick, R.I.) made 16 stops in her collegiate debut in net for the host Buccaneers (0-3) as the Lynx had 33 of the 34 shots in the contest.
Massachusetts Maritime travels to New London, Conn. on Monday afternoon for a non-league match with Coast Guard that begins at 3:30 p.m., while Lesley heads to South Hadley, Mass. on Tuesday evening for a non-league outing with Mount Holyoke that begins at 6:00 p.m.
