BUZZARDS BAY, Mass.-- Sophomore Jessica Tietgens (Stamford, Vt.) netted a pair of goals and added two assists for six points in leading the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts to an 8-0 Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference women's soccer victory over Massachusetts Maritime Saturday afternoon at Commander Ellis Field.

Tietgens and fellow sophomore Danielle Parenteau (Southampton, Mass.) each notched two goals in the first 33:40 of play for the visiting Trailblazers (10-3, 2-2 MASCAC), who also received a marker from freshman Lauren Ford (Voorheesville, N.Y.) in the 35th minute en route to a 5-0 advantage at the break. Senior Taylor Kenyon (North Bennington, Vt.), sophomore Harmony McGorman (Orleans, Mass.) and freshman Jackie Nash (Norton, Mass.) added tallies in the first 17:15 after intermission to close out the visitors' scoring.

Kenyon and McGorman each added assists to go with their markers in the win for MCLA, which also received single helpers from junior Erin Bourque (Amesbury, Mass.) and sophomore Samantha Miller (Reading, Mass.). Junior CeCe Von Tiesenhausen-Hush (Arlington, Vt.) made one save to pick up her 10th victory of the season in goal for the Trailblazers, while freshman Emily Welsh (Shelton, Conn.) made 11 stops over 77-plus minutes of action in net for the host Buccaneers (2-7, 0-4 MASCAC) as MCLA outshot Massachusetts Maritime by a 28-1 margin for the contest.

Massachusetts Maritime will be idle until next Saturday evening when the Buccaneers travel to Fitchburg, Mass. to take on Fitchburg State in a MASCAC outing that begins at 6:00 p.m., while MCLA travels to Poultney, Vt. on Wednesday afternoon to take on Green Mountain in a non-league match at 3:30 p.m.
