The host Falcons (9-5, 2-3 MASCAC) jumped out to a 3-0 advantage in the first 19:14 of play on markers from juniors Jen Morse (Shirley, Mass.) and Lauren Wundt (Southwick, Mass.) as well as sophomore Courtney Kimball (Plymouth, Mass.), and after freshman Hannah Mitchell (Hopedale, Mass.) extended Fitchburg State's edge to 4-0 in the 58th minute, Kennedy and Taylor each tallied twice over the final 27-plus minutes of action to close out the hosts' scoring.

Sophomore Heather Sharp (Halifax, Mass.) notched a pair of assists in the triumph for the Falcons, who also received a goal and an assist from Kimball and Wundt as well as single helpers from junior Ashley Dutcher (Littleton, Mass.) and freshmen Julie Dowson (Winthrop, Mass.) and Danielle Gemme (Sutton, Mass.).
