SALEM, Mass. --  Senior Bridget Dullea (Peabody, Mass.) netted five goals and two assists for seven points to lead Salem State to a 21-4 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference women’s lacrosse victory over Massachusetts Maritime Saturday evening at Alumni Field.

Dullea and freshman Erin Riley (Wakefield, Mass.) each scored twice as part of a six-goal run in the opening 12:44 of play for the host Vikings (3-6, 1-2 MASCAC), and after freshman Shavonne Boyle’s (Doylestown, Pa.) back-to-back markers sliced the visiting Buccaneers’ (2-7, 1-1 MASCAC) back to four, Salem State collected the final seven markers over the final 11:15 of the half en route to a 13-2 edge at the break.  The hosts added a five-goal run after intermission, including two off the stick of senior Kristin Cahoon (Reading, Mass.), to notch their second straight win.

Cahoon joined Dullea with five goals while adding an assist for six points in the victory for Salem State, which also received hat tricks from senior Lauren DeLuca (Salem, Mass.) and sophomore Kristen Caso (Framingham, Mass.) as well as two tallies from Riley.  Junior Liz Kosak (Milton, Mass.) and freshman Kristina Conlon (Dracut, Mass.) each notched a goal and assist on the night for the Vikings, who also received a marker from junior Alexandra Smith (Norwell, Mass.) and a pair of helpers off the stick of sophomore Kelsey Russell (Arlington, Mass.).

Senior Kim Courcy (Warwick, R.I.) and freshman Molly Smith (Westwood, Mass.) joined Boyle with goals in the setback for Massachusetts Maritime, as freshman Alex Varoutsos (Woburn, Mass.) picked up the win in goal for Salem State with six first half saves.  Sophomore Katie Bowman (Hull, Mass.) made five second half stops for the hosts, while sophomore Deb Langley (Abington, Mass.) made 14 saves in the setback for the visitors as the Vikings outshot the Buccaneers by a 41-18 margin while holding a 19-8 edge in draw controls for the contest.
