Men’s Track & Field Finishes 15th at Silfin Invitational

NEW LONDON, Conn – This past weekend, the Buccaneers traveled to Connecticut College in New London, Connecticut to take part in the Silfin Track & Field Invitational. The Men finished 15th overall, the women finished tied for last place.

One again, Colin McCabe (Dartmouth, Mass) won another shot put event at his fourth straight meet this season. His throw was a modest 16.45 meters, 2.06 meters further than the second place finisher. With the throw, McCabe picked up 10 of the team's 12 total points on the day.

Earning one point for the Bucs in the men's discus was Christopher Chaisson (Duxbury, Mass). He finished eighth in the event with a throw of 39.66 meters.

Earning the team's 12th and final point in the 400 meter hurdle was Alex Goldenberg (Douglas, Mass) with a finishing time of 59.47 seconds. Good for eighth place in the event.

The Buccaneers men's and women's track & field team will compete in the ECSU Spring Classic at Eastern Connecticut in Willimantic, Connecticut on Friday, April 19th. Events begin at 2pm.
