Hutchinson, Bennett Earn Honors For Outdoor Track & Field At 2012 Division III New England Championships

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. --  Massachusetts Maritime earned a pair of individual All-Division III New England honors over the weekend at the 2012 New England Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships hosted at MIT’s Steinbrenner Stadium.

Senior James Hutchinson (Pembroke, Mass.) earned Division III New England accolades with a fifth place finish in the javelin of 54.91 meters (180 feet, 2 inches), while freshman E.J. Bennett (East Wareham, Mass.) captured Division III New England honors with an eighth place performance in the high jump of 1.88 meters (6 feet, 2 inches).

The Buccaneers will compete at the 2012 Eastern College Athletic Conference Championships next weekend in Troy, N.Y. on the campus of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
