Outdoor Track & Field Set For Competition In Six Invitationals This Spring Looking To Continue Run Of Success

The Buccaneer outdoor track and field program continues to grow both in terms of participation and stature, as Co-Head Coaches Chris Barry and Cathy Lohse have mentored a pair of conference champions in building one of the top up-and-coming squads in the region.  Massachusetts Maritime looks to continue that climb this spring by once again competing in six invitationals in 2012.

The Buccaneers begin the new season on Saturday, March 24th at the Bridgewater State Invitational and will also compete in events at UMass Dartmouth, UMass Amherst and Connecticut College before the 2012 MASCAC/New England Alliance Championships on Saturday, April 28th.  Senior Chris Sullo (Canton, Mass.) returns to the fold as the two-time defending conference and Alliance champion in the men’s high jump for Massachusetts Maritime, which recorded six top five finishes at last year’s championships.
