O'Donnell Named As MASCAC Men's Outdoor Field Co-Athlete Of The Week

Massachusetts Maritime senior Rory O’Donnell was named as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Men’s Outdoor Field Co-Athlete of the Week on Monday afternoon for his performance last Saturday at the Connecticut College Silfen Invitational in New London, Conn.

A native of Somerset, Mass. and a graduate of Somerset High School, O’Donnell, who shared this week’s league honor with Fitchburg State’s Pat Conaty, took top honors in the triple jump for the Buccaneers with a mark of 13.35 meters while adding a third place performance in the high jump with a mark of 1.78 meters.

O’Donnell will look to defend his conference crown in the triple jump on Saturday morning at the 2011 MASCAC/New England Alliance Championships at Fitchburg State that begin at 11:00 a.m.
