Sullo Earns Division III All-New England Honors For Outdoor Track & Field With Fourth Place Finish In High Jump

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- The Massachusetts Maritime outdoor track & field team posted a solid performance at the 2011 Division III New England Championships over the weekend at MIT, as a pair of Buccaneers recorded top 10 performances in their respective events.

Junior Chris Sullo (Canton, Mass.), who last weekend claimed his second straight Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference crown in the high jump, added a Division III New England accolade to his resume with a fourth place finish in the event, matching his mark from last weekend at 1.93 meters.

Senior Rory O'Donnell (Somerset, Mass.) placed 10th in the triple jump with a mark of 13.08 meters for Massachusetts Maritime, while junior James Hutchinson (Pembroke, Mass.) finished 13th in the javelin with a mark of 53.05 meters.

The Buccaneer men's 4 X 100 relay consisting of senior Joseph Choiniere (Mansfield, Mass.), junior Mike Bois (Lakeville, Mass.) and sophomores Michael Temple (Weymouth, Mass.) and Laurence Tagger (Bourne, Mass.) posted a 13th place finish in the event with a time of 45.15.
