Outdoor Track & Field Looks To Continue To Make Strides In Rigorous 2011 Schedule

Massachusetts Maritime has made great strides over the past three seasons in the sport of outdoor track and field, and the Buccaneers are looking to continue that momentum this spring in preparing for a rigorous 2011 schedule.

Under the guidance of co-Head Coaches Chris Barry and Cathy-Lohse Whitelaw, Massachusetts Maritime will compete in five regular season invitationals, beginning on Saturday, March 19th at the all-divisions Northeastern Husky Spring Open in Dedham, Mass.  The Buccaneers, who produced a pair of Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference individual champions a year ago, will also travel to competition at the Bridgewater State, Fitchburg State Jim Sheehan, UMass Dartmouth Corsair and Connecticut College Silfen Invitationals that lead up to the 2011 MASCAC/New England Alliance Championships on Saturday, April 30th.

Massachusetts Maritime will also look for additional post-season competition at the 2011 New England Division III Championships on Saturday, May 7th as well as the ECAC Championships on Saturday, May 14th.
