Offshore, Dinghy Sailing Teams Look To Continue Successful Traditions During 18-Event Fall 2017 Schedule

The Massachusetts Maritime sailing program continued its longstanding tradition of excellence under the guidance of Director of Sailing Chuck Fontaine and coaches Matthew Wordell, Twice Tougas and James Walker last season, and both the Buccaneer offshore and dinghy squads are looking to add to that lineage of success in taking on another challenging schedule this fall.

Massachusetts Maritime begins the campaign over the weekend of September 9th and 10th by competing at a pair of events hosted by Maine Maritime.  In all, the Buccaneers will compete in 18 events during the fall season, including the Central Series Three Invitational (September 23-24) and the Great Herring Pond Open (October 14-15) that will take place at the Keith Hartford Sailing Center in Bourne.  Massachusetts Maritime will also head to the waters off Chesapeake Bay on three occasions to compete at Navy’s prestigious Shields Trophy, MacMillan Cup and John F. Kennedy Cup regattas in Annapolis, Md.
