Dinghy, Offshore Sailing Teams Look To Continue Successful Seasons During Challenging Spring Schedules

After solid performances in events around the region last fall, the Massachusetts Maritime dinghy and offshore sailing teams will look to achieve more success during their respective 2017 spring campaigns, as Director of Sailing Chuck Fontaine is set to have the Buccaneers embark on another challenging slate of competition.

Massachusetts Maritime begins its spring schedule during the weekend of March 11-12 at the Connecticut College Icebreaker Fleet Race in New London, Conn., and the Buccaneers return home on Sunday, March 19th to host the Central Series One Regatta at the Keith Hartford Sailing Center in Bourne.  The action on Herring Pond heats up in April with three additional home events, as the dinghy squad hosts the Great Herring Pond Open (April 2nd), the Admiral Alymer’s Trophy Regatta (April 8-9) and the O’Toole Trophy Regatta (April 23rd).

Massachusetts Maritime will hit the road for events at Boston University, Rhode Island and Navy while also competing at the New England Dinghy Invitational at Salve Regina.
