Offshore, Dinghy Sailing Ready To Tackle Another Tough Schedule Under Fontaine's Tutelage This Fall

The Massachusetts Maritime sailing program continued its longstanding tradition of excellence under the guidance of Head Coach Chuck Fontaine last season, and both the Buccaneer offshore and dinghy squads are looking to add to that lineage of success in taking on another challenging schedule this fall.

Fontaine’s squads will begin their slate over the weekend of September 10th and 11th by competing in the Quissett Round-The-Bay Regatta as well as at invitationals hosted by Maine Maritime and Roger Williams.  In all, Massachusetts Maritime will compete in 16 events during the fall season, including the Central Series Three Invitational (September 24-25) and the Great Herring Pond Open (October 15-16) that will take place at the Keith Hartford Sailing Center in Bourne.  The Buccaneers will also head to the waters off Chesapeake Bay on three occasions to compete at Navy’s prestigious Shields Trophy, MacMillian Cup and John F. Kennedy Cup regattas in Annapolis, Md.
