Buccaneer Men’s Soccer Team Hosts 22nd Annual Alumni Game

BUZZARDS BAY, Mass – Saturday, October 20th, head men's soccer coach Greg Perry, in his 26th season, and his team welcomed back alumni and friends of the program for their annual Alumni Game at Clean Harbors Stadium. In total, Coach Perry welcomed back 27 alumni and a former Buccaneer coach to Massachusetts Maritime Academy for the game. Also joining the festivities were Coach Perry's son Kyle and the team's Team IMPACT player, Thomas Schmid. The highlight of the game was Thomas Schmid's goal late in the game.

The Alumni that returned to take part in the game were Capt. Tim Brady, Jim Loiselle, Musa Pam, Peter Thomopoulos, Ryan Quinlan, Mark Lynch, John Van Dolson, Shawn Cassidy, Jarrett Hagen-Peter, Rob Robbs, Dillon Jones, Brian Reske, Dan Riley, Connor McInnis, Asa Mills, Joe Perry, Kevin O'Leary, Billy Taylor, Tim McDonough, Matt McDonough, Matt McDonnell, Adam Rabesa, James Barbour, Andy Nguyen, Michael Pruchnik, and Scott Matoian. Also joining the Bucs was former Maritime men's soccer coach Peter Kasarjian who coached at the Academy in the early 80's.

"This game serves two purposes for our program." Said Perry. "The first is to bring back our old Bucs to play against our Young Bucs and teach them what it means to be a part of this program. The second is to serve as a fundraiser. This year we raised $3,200 with still more donations coming in from alumni that could not attend. We hope to keep this great tradition going for years to come" Added coach Perry.
