Men's Soccer Picked To Finish Second In 2015 MASCAC Pre-Season Coaches Poll

After reaching the semifinals of the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference tournament in each of the past two seasons, the Massachusetts Maritime men’s soccer team is once again expected to be in the hunt for a league title in the eyes of the conference coaches.

Head Coach Greg Perry’s Buccaneers are picked second in the 2015 MASCAC pre-season coaches’ poll that was released by the league office on Monday morning, as the Buccaneers garnered three first place votes (the most of any member institution) for a total of 39 points.  Defending regular season champion Bridgewater State topped the voting with 43 points, while MCLA (31), defending tournament champion Fitchburg State (30) and Framingham State (29) rounded out the top five.

Massachusetts Maritime begins Perry’s 23rd campaign at the helm next Tuesday, September 1st when the Buccaneers entertain WPI in a non-league clash at Clean Harbors Stadium that begins at 7:00 p.m. EDT.
