CAMBRIDGE, Mass.-- Freshman Kevin McCord's (Norwell, Mass.) goal in the 29th minute evened matters and lifted Massachusetts Maritime to a 1-1 double overtime tie with Lesley in a non-league college men's soccer match played late Monday evening at Edwards Field.

McCord converted a feed from sophomore Matt Patten (Weymouth, Mass.) on the equalizer for the visiting Buccaneers (2-7-1), his second marker of the season, after sophomore Tyler Reeves (Coventry, Conn.) had given the host Lynx (3-6-1) an early edge in the 16th minute on an assist from freshman Beau Morimando (Bayshore, N.Y.).

Freshman Corey Cameron (Westfield, Mass.) made three saves over the final 65 minutes in goal for Massachusetts Maritime, as senior Tim Meighan (East Bridgewater, Mass.) played the first half in net for the visitors. Sophomore Zach Almeida-Beers (Rehoboth, Mass.) made seven stops in goal for Lesley as the Buccaneers outshot the Lynx by a 21-13 margin, including a 19-8 edge during regulation alone.

Massachusetts Maritime heads to Brookline, Mass. on Thursday afternoon to take on Newbury in a non-league outing that begins at 3:00 p.m., while Lesley hosts Southern Vermont in a New England Collegiate Conference match on Saturday afternoon at Edwards Field beginning at 12:30 p.m.
