BOSTON, Mass.-- Sophomore Eric Dabdoub's (Monterrey, Mex.) goal with 10:04 remaining proved to be the game-winner and lifted Emerson to a 1-0 non-league college men's soccer victory over Massachusetts Maritime Wednesday evening at Rotch Field.

Dabdoub converted a direct kick for the host Lions (3-3-1) in the closing minutes, and senior Jonas Imbert (Taunton, Mass.) made that marker stand up by making a pair of saves to pick up the shutout triumph in goal for Emerson.

The two teams played a scoreless first half that saw both teams have a pair of opportunities, as the Lions notched four of their six shots on goal for the evening in the opening 45 minutes of play. Senior Tim Meighan (East Bridgewater, Mass.) made five saves in net in the setback for the visiting Buccaneers (2-6), who registered four shots on goal for the contest.

Massachusetts Maritime hosts Framingham State in a MASCAC outing on Saturday afternoon at Commander Ellis Field beginning at Noon, while Emerson hosts Lasell in a Great Northeast contest on Saturday afternoon at Rotch Field that begins at 12:30 p.m.
