The host Bears (3-0) notched the first five tallies of the day, including both of O'Brien's markers, in jumping out to a 5-0 lead in the first 43-plus minutes of action, as Devine and seniors Thomas Cameron (Portland, Ore.) and Nate Wojcik (East Brookfield, Mass.) also scored for Coast Guard. Sophomore Christian Lopes (Charlestown, Mass.) converted a penalty kick with 41 seconds remaining in the half to account for the lone goal of the day for the visiting Buccaneers (0-2), and the hosts closed out the scoring with Devine's second marker in the 79th minute and an own goal with just under seven minutes remaining in the match.

Seniors Peter Deneen (Ojai, Calif.) and James Toohey (Temple Terrace, Fla.), juniors Spencer Ross (Burbank, Calif.) and Jacob Larsen (Cedar Creek, Tex.) along with freshman Sean Stadig (Davidsonville, Md.) notched assists in the win for Coast Guard, as junior Tim Olah (Glastonbury, Conn.) picked up the win in net for the hosts.
