Bio
Coach Smith was named head coach of the Buccaneer men's lacrosse team in the Spring of 2022 following the retirement of 6th year head coach Rick Bagby. Smith takes over a program he has been a part of for six years as a part of Bagby's staff.
As an assistant he was a part of a conference change from the NEWMAC to the LEC where the team saw success in their first season in the Little East in 2022.
In his first year as head coach, Mike brought the Buccaneers to the MASCAC Playoffs and coached the Little East Conference Co-Offensive Player of the Year (Mitchell Maida) and three LEC All-Conference 1st Team Selections (Leo Allgaier, James Cassidy, and Mitchell Maida).
Coach Smith graduated from Springfield College where he played four years of men's lacrosse.
