Bucs and Corsairs Lace Up for Pediatric Cancer

Bucs and Corsairs Lace Up for Pediatric Cancer

Tonight, the Massachusetts Maritime Academy men's lacrosse team will take on local rivals UMass-Dartmouth, but a bigger battle is taking place off the field. Both the Buccaneers and Corsairs will wear gold laces to support the Lace Up 4 Pediatric Cancer program, which raises awareness for pediatric cancer.

The organization that the teams are supporting is Go4theGoal, a non-profit that has been around since 2011. Their mission is to improve the lives of children battling cancer by providing financial support, developing and implementing unique hospital programs, funding innovative research, and granting personal wishes.

As if donating to such a great cause is not good enough, the Bucs have put together a great selection of raffle prize, for which tickets will be sold in the first half. The Grand Prize are scratch tickets in Sea Term Mug, with Second Prize a stylish 31 Bag Combo. The third selection is a Dunkin Donuts Gift Card and Mug, plus more individual prizes will be won.

Additionally, if you are unable to attend the game and could spare a couple of dollars to help raise awareness for Pediatric Cancer, it would be much appreciated! Follow the link here. All of the funds raised stay in the state where they gathered and 100 per cent of the donations go right to the families!

Face-off is at 7 p.m. between these two southeastern Mass institutions, with live video coverage at http://mmabucs.com/sports/mlax/2017-18/schedule.
