BUZZARDS BAY, Mass. --  Junior Josh Arsenault (Revere, Mass.) netted four goals and a pair of assists, while senior Andrew Foster (Newbury, Mass.) added a hat trick and three helpers to lead UMass Dartmouth to a 17-5 non-league college men’s lacrosse victory over Massachusetts Maritime Thursday evening at Clean Harbors Stadium.

The visiting Corsairs (3-3) raced out to a 10-0 halftime advantage and tallied the first 11 markers of the contest, as Arsenault scored all four of his goals in the opening 30 minutes of action and Foster chipped in with two of his goals in that time span.  Junior Stephen Espinola (Groton, Mass.) added a hat trick and an assist in the triumph for UMass Dartmouth, which also received two goals and an assist from sophomore Christian Roberto (Wakefield, Mass.) as well as two markers from junior Bobby Smith (Wakefield, Mass.).  Sophomore Alex Reposa (Shrewsbury, Mass.) notched a goal and an assist for the winners, who also received single tallies off the sticks of junior Alex Parks (Norton, Mass.) and freshman Braddock Bell (South Hadley, Mass.) as well as an assist from freshman Cody Santor (Glastonbury, Conn.).

Senior Connor Burke (Del Mar, Calif.) netted a pair of goals in the setback for the host Buccaneers (0-4), who also received a goal and two assists from fellow senior Brian Burke (Del Mar, Calif.).  Sophomores Will Doucette (Manchester, Mass.) and Kyle Scannell (Tierra Verde, Fla.) also tallied on the evening for Massachusetts Maritime, which received a single assist off the stick of junior Ryan Linn (Bourne, Mass.).

Sophomore Cameron Crown (Walpole, Mass.) picked up the win in goal for UMass Dartmouth with 14 saves over the first 51-minutes of action, as freshman Peter Foley (Northbridge, Mass.) made three stops over the final nine-plus minutes of play for the visitors.  Senior James Hitchings (Dover, Mass.) made 13 saves over the first three quarters of action in the setback for Massachusetts Maritime, while junior Ryan Delaney (Whitman, Mass.) made one stop in the final 15 minutes of play for the hosts as the Corsairs outshot the Buccaneers by a 48-28 margin for the match while holding a 16-10 edge in face-offs for the evening.

Massachusetts Maritime travels to Portland, Maine on Saturday afternoon to take on Maine Maritime in a non-league outing that begins at 2:00 p.m., while UMass Dartmouth heads to Norton, Mass. to take on Wheaton in a non-league match that begins at 1:00 p.m.
